My therapeutic approach is client-centered, working primarily through an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens.

I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices to help ease distress and enhance emotional regulation. I tailor my methods to meet each individual's unique needs and goals, empowering them to develop self-awareness and understanding to create positive change in their lives.

I’m dedicated to building a collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and confidentiality. Ultimately, I believe in the inherent resilience and potential for growth within each person, and I'm here to guide you through that process.

What to Expect:

Our initial session will be an opportunity for you to share what has brought you into counseling, for me to get to know you and for you to get a sense of who I am, my style of counseling and whether we will be a good fit. I can also provide coping strategies so that you are able to walk away from the first session with an ability to manage emotional distress.

The number of sessions you may need depends on how long you've been facing your challenges. If something has recently occurred, like an issue at work or in your family, you may need fewer sessions compared to someone who has dealt with anxiety or depression for much of their life. Ultimately, you decide how many sessions you want, and I’ll provide my recommendations.

Number of Sessions

The frequency of our sessions depends on your specific concerns. I usually recommend meeting every other week to start, then gradually less often as you improve. If you're currently experiencing significant distress, we can meet more frequently. When you feel ready to end counseling, we can conclude our work, knowing that you're always welcome to return and continue where we left off.
